Big Trip Tomorrow

Pula, Croatia is one of the two cities outside of Zagreb that our team is most interested in helping.  Pula is on the Istria peninsula, close to Italy.  It is famous for its Roman coliseum, which is in the picture below.  Recently, the Baptist Union has appointed a mission pastor there.  Through a chain of events I won't bore you with, we got acquainted via email and cell phone.  Tomorrow morning at 8:15 I am driving to Pula with Tomislav, my good friend from Zagreb.  We will meet with this pastor, hear his heart for the work there, and see if there is anyway we can help in the future.  Please remember to pray for Tomislav and I as we meet with Vedran.  Also, pray for our travel as we will be on the road for 7 hours by the time we get home.

It looks to me like Pula shares many characteristics with Mérida,Spain (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M%C3%A9rida,_Spain) where we were blessed to serve for 5 years, and plant the first Baptist church, starting from zero.

I will be pray God blesses your efforts there, and be interested to see what He does in the days ahead.
