Reilly and the Spurs

Rick Reilly has hit another homerun with this article today. Rick Reilly is my favorite sports writer and his work never fails to impress. This story is about 21 year old Kawhi Leonard, forward for the Spurs, and the murder of his father when he was only 16 years old.
Leonard has been a favorite of mine for two reasons. First, he lives and plays with the character I admire. The kind of toughness, focus, discipline, simplicity in life, and hard work it takes to thrive in any setting. Second, he reminds me of someone I know. The 20 year old in mind isn't 6'7" or taking on the NBA, but he has those character things in place and those will take him as far as his talent allows. No matter how far he goes in the world of basketball, I am proud of the young man he is and very hopeful for the bright future he has.
