Atkins Prayer Letter

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

We hope you are looking forward to celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, with friends and family as well as ringing in the New Year!  We are excited about Trey's brother, Dave, and his fiance, Andi, coming to see us for a few days at the end of the month.  We will then all travel to Budapest to attend a concert on New Year's Day, and have a little more time together.

We are thankful that our sons and daughter-in-love have good plans for the holidays which sure helps this Mom and Dad feel better about not having their babies at home!  ;-)  Summer's parents will be with Ryan and Summer for two weeks in Dalian, China.  Bret will have a break of 9 days from school and basketball games, and will be able to see both sets of grands as well as cousins.  We are so grateful for our families that care for our sons and daughter-in-love when we can't be there for them.

This last month has been full of travel visiting our personnel in the countries of Czech Republic and Poland.  It has been wonderful to see how God is using each of them to spread the good news of salvation and hope in Christ to Europeans as well as how God is raising up those from within these European countries to partner with us in fulfilling Jesus' words to 'go and tell.'  Pray that all of the IMB personnel in the countries of Central Europe would be bold in their witness and not miss opportunities to tell others that Jesus came at Christmas so that they
might have eternal and abundant life.

'But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.  "Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased." (‭Luke‬ ‭2‬:‭10-11, 14‬)
