40 Days of Prayer: October 5 - 11

Oct. 5

2 Cor. 3:15-17  Even to this day, whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their hearts, but whenever a person turns to the Lord, the veil is removed.  Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

Intercede that Europeans turn to God, so that the veil is lifted and they are set free...

Oct. 6

2 Cor. 3:18  We all, with unveiled faces, are looking as if in a mirror at the glory of the Lord and are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory; this is from the Lord who is the Spirit.

Petition the Father to transform Europeans around the world, so that they will reflect His glory...

Oct. 7

Ps.62:5  Rest in God alone, my soul, for my hope comes from Him.

Pray that we as missionaries serving in Europe, will find rest and hope in God, even on days when the task seems impossible...

Oct. 8

Ps. 62:8  Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts before Him.  God is our refuge.

Pray that we will always trust God and find refuge from the demands, cares and dangers of this world in His arms.  Praise Him for always being ready to listen and answer, when we pour out our hearts to Him...

Oct. 9

Is. 62:4  You will no longer be called Deserted, and your land will not be called Desolate; instead, you will be called My Delight is in Her, and your land is Married; for the Lord delights in you, and your land will be married.

Pray that Europe will no longer be spiritually desolate.  Intercede that Europeans will place their faith in God and be a delight to Him...

Oct. 10

Is. 62:12  And they will be called the Holy People, the Lord's redeemed; and you will be called Cared For, A City Not Deserted.

Intercede that Europeans will be become a holy people redeemed by the Lord and that their cities will be cared for by Him...

Oct. 11

Mt. 3:17  And there came a voice from heaven:  This is My beloved Son.  I take delight in Him!

Pray Europeans come to faith, follow Christ in obedience and become beloved children of God with whom He is delighted...
